Downloading movies to iPad can be done using the iTunes application, which was created specifically to work with the device. To play videos on your tablet, you can also install additional software through the Apple App Store, which is available on both iTunes and your mobile device.
Instructions
Step 1
IPad supports MP4 and M4V formats. This means that movie files imported via iTunes must have exactly this extension. To play AVI, WMV or MKV, you need to install additional programs on your tablet.
Step 2
Open an iTunes window on your computer and go to the App Store section. If you want to play third-party files on your device, enter "player" in the search box and wait for the matching results to appear. Explore each movie app and choose the one you like best from all of them. Install this program by clicking on the corresponding button in the iTunes window. Among the most popular applications are VLC, AcePlayer, AVPlayer. You can also install the desired player without connecting the device to a computer using the AppStore in the tablet menu.
Step 3
Connect your iPad to your computer and sync your data by pressing your device key in the upper right corner of the screen and selecting Sync. After that, go to the "Programs" tab and select the newly installed player in the list of your applications.
Step 4
Drag the movie from a folder on your computer to the program window using the left mouse button. Wait until the copying process is complete, after which you can disconnect iPad from your computer.
Step 5
Launch the installed player on your tablet. Go to the "Documents" section of the device in the window of the selected application. Find the movie you want in the list that appears. If the program supports playback of the copied file, you will see the playback window and can start watching the movie.
Step 6
You can also use iTunes to copy a movie without using third-party players. Connect your device to your computer with a cable, and then go to the program window. Click on the "Media Library" section and drag the file from the folder on your computer to the program window. After that, go to the device menu by clicking on the corresponding button in the upper right corner of the window. Select the Movies tab and click Sync. Wait until the end of the procedure. Now you can start watching your movie on iPad.
