Step 1
Zeroing (resetting) for each alarm is an individual process. Open the instruction manual, there is probably a section with detailed instructions. If this section is not there or you do not have a manual for some reason, do not be upset. There are a few standard steps that are suitable for most alarm models: The first step is to shut off the vehicle engine. Then press the Valet service button nine times in a row. The car alarm siren will emit one short sound, the side lights will flash twice. The Valet button is located on the signal receiving device, which is most often located under the steering block of a car.
Step 2
Now you need to turn on the ignition, after which the siren will emit nine short signals, the side lights will flash once. This means that you have put the alarm into a factory reset mode.
Step 3
Next, you need to press the Valet service button once, after which the siren will emit one sound signal.
Step 4
On the alarm control panel, press the button with the speaker icon. One long beep from the control panel will follow. This means that the factory reset was successful.
Step 5
To take the system out of the reset mode, you must turn off the ignition or wait for the system to automatically exit this mode. In confirmation of this, several flashes of the side lights will follow, and the feedback control panel will emit a melodic signal.
