To bar calls from a specific number, a special function called the "Black List" is used. Usually it is implemented in the phone menu through the "Calls" section of the menu. However, some phones do not support this option and you will have to use third-party applications to use it.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the settings menu of your device by unlocking the phone screen and selecting the "Settings" section. Select the "Calls" section and find the line "Blacklist". It may also be called Call Barring or Denied Dialing Selection, depending on the version of the operating system installed on your device.
Step 2
If you could not find this function, use the instructions for use that came with your device. Use the "Contents" section to find the title. If this item is not specified, then your phone does not support the setting.
Step 3
If you are using a smartphone running Android operating system, the function may be implemented through third-party software. Go to the "Play Store" through the menu of your device, using the appropriate shortcut on the desktop.
Step 4
Click on the search icon in the upper right corner of the program and enter the query "Blacklist". Confirm your entry. You will be presented with a list of programs that will allow you to block a specific calling number from your contact list. Some applications also support the creation of groups of unwanted numbers for answering calls.
Step 5
Select the program, having read the description of each in the Play Market window. After selecting the application, click on the "Install" button and wait until the installation procedure is completed. Once the installation is complete, you will see a notification in the status bar at the top of the screen.
Step 6
Run the installed program and add numbers from the address book, calls from which you would not want to receive, guided by the interface elements. Click "Save" to apply the changes. Setting up the "Blacklist" is completed and now, when trying to call you, the calling subscriber will receive a "busy" signal.
