Your relatives or friends have gone on vacation abroad, or they live there. You want to be in touch all the time, but the calls are quite expensive. What to do? Write sms messages! Just how to send SMS abroad without paying too much money for it?
Instructions
Step 1
Choose favorable rates. Many cellular companies, especially during the holidays, offer special rates for vacationers. Cheap calls, SMS when communicating with a specific country or the whole world at once. Keep in mind that with such tariffs, communication within the home region is usually more expensive. Therefore, consider whether such a connection will pay off. If you have an old but working mobile phone or your device works with two SIM cards at once, you can buy an additional card specifically for communication with other countries. Usually, the cost of a SIM card pays for the connection even for a short vacation.
Step 2
Send SMS over the Internet. This can be done absolutely free of charge, regardless of the destination country or telecom operators. Find a site that allows you to send short text messages. Most cellular companies provide this service directly on their official websites. However, not all of them allow you to send messages outside of Russia. You can even find a list of sites from which you can send SMS abroad on Wikipedia:
Step 3
Go to a site that allows you to send SMS for free. Select the recipient country from the list. Fill in the rest of the form - recipient's phone number, message text. Its size is limited - from 120 to 640 characters. If you need to say more, write a second message. There is a security code - it insures the site from automatic mailing.
Step 4
Remember that the recipient will not be able to reply to your message. Therefore, it is better to agree in advance whether you will send messages to each other via the Internet. If you haven't thought about it before, please include your phone number at the end of the message. Be sure to subscribe to the message - the recipient will receive it on behalf of the site from which you sent the SMS.
