A graphics tablet is a powerful tool used by people whose work involves graphic editors, be they an artist, photographer, designer, or architect. It works similarly to the touchpod, but unlike it, you can draw on the tablet with a special pen. The ability to perform complex operations using a digitizer, the simplest of which, for example, tracing the contours of a captured object from a photograph attached to the tablet, affects the cost of the tablet. The tablet reacts to the pressure of the pen, it can increase the size of the brush in a graphics editor such as Photoshop. An engineer, working on drawings, can use a tablet specially equipped for these purposes. Needless to say, how even the most expensive mouse can handle such operations.

Of course, all complex, specific operations cannot be performed by sliding your index finger over the tablet, for these purposes there are special pens, sensitive and insensitive, wired and wireless, specialized and general-purpose.

The simplest option is corded pens, they are easy to use and multifunctional, there are several buttons on the body, but such pens are not sensitive to pressure. Cordless pens are more functional, pressure-sensitive, and have a rubber band on the other end that can be used to erase unnecessary lines in a drawing, for example. There are also artistic brushes that completely imitate lines drawn with a regular brush, as well as engineering mice, equipped with everything you need to draw complex circuits. It all depends on the purpose for which you need to choose a tablet, since its purpose may be different and, accordingly, the possibilities are also different.

Depending on what tasks the tablets solve, they can be amateur, semi-professional and professional. They differ from each other in the size of the working surface - from the size of the mouse pad (amateur), to the size of a sheet of A3 format (professional), as well as resolution. Naturally, the prices for tablets correspond to their level, the most expensive professional tablet is more expensive than the most modern computer.
