Such a watch, of course, was not a smart watch in the full sense, but one could already expect the development of the idea of a watch as a multifunctional assistant for a person.
Modern smartwatches can be considered a new step in the miniaturization of devices. They are already very reminiscent of a small, unpretentious computer that can play music, receive messages from a smartphone via Bluetooth, support work with various types of applications, some of them already have a touch screen, which is designed to facilitate control of such a watch.
But there are also problems in the development of this direction - on the one hand, smart watches should not be too big, because it will be inconvenient to wear on the wrist. On the other hand, the more the watch can do, the more applications the user uses, the more capacious the battery should be, but for modern smart watches, if you use them constantly, it is better to carry a charger with you for now.
Also, a problem for many buyers is that while many models of smart watches are just an addition to a certain smartphone, which actually greatly reduces their intrinsic value. We are already waiting for a smart watch to be an independent device that can replace a smartphone, and soon they will be - convenient, functional, compact.
