Step 1
Use Windows Media Center. It records live shows and movies to your computer. Recording can be scheduled in advance and automatically record any TV program. Step 2
Connect the TV tuner to your computer and install the automatic software. After installing the driver, go to the TV signal settings and select the desired channel. Then go to Windows Media Center and click Record. Please note that the recording of the TV program must be carried out with the computer turned on.

Get a DVD player with hard drive. This is the closest modern version to the method of recording through the good old video recorder. The principle of operation is practically the same. Only the recording of the TV show goes not to the cassette, but to the disk. Also, on such DVD-players, you can set a timer for the time at which the desired program will start recording. This is great when you are away.
Step 4
Record the program you need using the prefix. It usually comes with digital TV. Use the remote control to select the desired program, set the recording time, and the job is done. It is also very convenient that with the help of such a set-top box, you can pause the TV program in real time. This function is very convenient and greatly simplifies your life if you need to leave for a while, but you do not want to miss the most interesting.

But if all these newfangled gadgets are not for you, get a used VCR, a few blank cassettes (probably sold somewhere else) and record programs in the old proven way. However, the recording quality will not be the same as digital. In addition, not so much can be recorded on a cassette, unlike discs or hard drives.
