If you no longer plan to use the number from MTS, then you can simply not make calls or send SMS and MMS from a SIM card for 183 days. But if your phone is serviced at a tariff with a monthly fee and has a credit limit, then in order to prevent unnecessary expenses, you should terminate the contract with the operator.
