Through the ICQ protocol, in addition to text messages, you can send photos. There are several ways to do this, which can be conditionally divided into direct and using third-party web servers.
Instructions
Step 1
Open an alternative client of the ICQ protocol - QIP Infinum and go to its settings. In the "General" tab, check the box next to the line "Enable file transfer." In the file transfer settings, select the "Direct" option. Then open the correspondence window with the desired contact and click on the "Send file" button. In the file manager window that opens, select the required file and click the open button. Immediately after that, the text "Send file (file name and size)" and the "Cancel" button will appear in the chat window. In this case, the recipient of the file must press the "Accept" button in order for the connection to be established and the file to be transmitted via the ICQ protocol. This method may not be supported by some phone models.
Step 2
Go to the QIP Infinum settings and in the file transfer options select "File transfer via web server". After that, open the correspondence window with the contact to whom you want to send the file, click on the "Send file" button, and in the same way as described in the previous step, select and open the required photo in the built-in file manager window. After that, the selected photo will be uploaded to the server, and the addressee will receive a temporary link to download the photo. To do this, the recipient will have to select a message with a link to the photo, press the "Menu" button and select the "Open Link" command in it. The web page from which you can download the photo will open in the built-in browser.
Step 3
Open your browser and go to imageshack.us. Upload your photo to this service. To do this, click on the "Browse" button, and open the required photo in the file manager window. After that, the page will display information about the open file (its name and size). This will open a page with the image, links to it, and codes for embedding it. In order to send a photo via ICQ, open the correspondence window with a contact and send him a link to a photo that he can open in a standard browser window.
