A mobile phone from any manufacturer, including Nokia, if it is switched on, can be in talk or standby mode. To put it on standby, you just need to turn it on or end all ongoing calls. For most Nokia models, the end-of-line key is the key when entering standby mode.

Instructions

Step 1

Press and hold the end call key (the second from the top on the right side of the keypad, with the image of a red telephone receiver) until the display lights up if your phone is switched off. If the device is discharged or defective, there will be no reaction on its part to this action. With a discharged battery, you will need to connect the phone to an outlet and wait a little until at least a little electricity has accumulated in it, and then repeat the operation. If the phone is faulty, have it repaired.

Step 2

If your Nokia phone is shutting down because the battery is completely depleted and the phone is charging, only an indicator may appear on the screen to indicate that the phone is charging. Press the end call key again, hold it for a few seconds until the indicator disappears. Then press and hold again until the display lights up.

Step 3

Enter the pin code at the request of the device and press the selection confirmation key - the upper left. If the PIN code is correct, a message will appear on the screen that the code has been accepted, then the Nokia screensaver, after which the phone will turn on and work in standby mode. If you have abandoned PIN-code protection or it was not initially installed, the phone will turn on immediately.

Step 4

Hang up all ongoing calls to switch from talk mode to standby mode. To do this, press the end call key marked with a red tube and located in the upper right part of the keypad. If you have several calls in your work, end not only the current one, but also all those on hold using the end call key. After that, the phone will go into standby mode, and you will be able to receive a call if someone dials your number, call the desired subscriber, or use additional options: send or receive SMS (their phone will also receive in the talk mode), use the built-in radio, make a picture or video, use the organizer, phone book, various applications, games, etc.
