Almost all home appliances are controlled by ordinary or touch buttons, knobs, levers. A couple of decades ago, a remote control device was invented, which greatly simplifies interaction with a TV or dvd player. Do you want this convenience for other devices as well? Try to make a control panel yourself. For example, for a camera - after all, the photographer also wants to be in the frame.

Instructions
Step 1
Find a regular flashlight keychain and disassemble it. From it you will need a contact closure circuit. Remove unnecessary elements, glue a pair of contacts - to the bottom and "border". They are needed for focusing and releasing. Add a spring and a plate to the power button, which do not touch without pressing.
Step 2
Solder the contacts. By pressing the button, you activate the spring, it comes into contact with the bottom contact, and focus the apparatus. Pressing the button fully, use the second contact as well, as a result of which the shutter will work. Solder the entire structure.
Step 3
Make a connector to connect to the camera. The most important thing is to pick up wires of exactly the same diameter as in the console. Place the contacts in the position required for connecting the camera and the remote control.
Step 4
Strip the insulation on one side, put on a thermal tube, fix with glue. Remove the structure into the case. The camera control is ready.
Step 5
If the remote control from the TV is broken or gone, and there is no way to buy a new one, then do not despair - "crazy hands" will help here. Before starting to create a control panel with your own hands, pay attention to the control panel of the device (TV, DVD): count the number of buttons on it (without the main power button).
Step 6
Find the correct plastic box. Make holes in it equal to the number of buttons on the device panel. Fasten small-sized buttons (KM 1-1) in the holes made. Under them, follow the explanatory inscriptions (you can make stickers).
Step 7
Disconnect the device from the outlet (if other devices are connected to it, they must also be de-energized). Open the case and sketch out the keyboard matrix.
Step 8
Connect the buttons in the new remote control according to the matrix viewed in the device. Wires go to the device board from the keyboard matrix. Having counted their number, select a multi-core cable, the number of wires in which corresponds to the number of wires in the matrix. Connect the conductors from the console to the corresponding contacts of the matrix. The cable should be routed as far from the power circuit as possible.
Step 9
Make holes for the cable in the case of the device and the remote control. Close the remote control box and fasten it with glue or tape. Close the device for which the remote was run. Connect the power supply. Check the operation of the remote control.
Step 10
Not all settings available to standard infrared control devices can be made with this remote control. In addition, the device will have to be turned on and off mechanically, by means of a button on the front panel.
