Replacing the firmware in a mobile phone often helps not only to solve the problem of unsatisfactory device operation, but also to get additional options that are not available in another software version. Using the popular Apple iPhone gadget as an example, consider the process of replacing the firmware.
Instructions
Step 1
If you need to replace an old firmware with a new one, open iTunes on your computer and connect your iPhone to your computer using a USB cable. iTunes will detect the iPhone and, if you have not disabled notifications, will offer to install the new available firmware version.
Step 2
If you are connected to the Internet, iTunes will automatically download the new version of the firmware to your computer and update it on the iPhone, while offering to keep a copy of your data. You only need to agree to perform the update.
Step 3
If there is no Internet connection, but there is a new firmware version already downloaded to the computer, the update should be performed in a slightly different way. With your iPhone connected to your computer, in iTunes, select iPhone and under Version, click the Restore button while holding down the Shift key. A file selection window will open, in which find the new firmware file and, having selected it, click "Open". The update will then start.
