Step 1
Select a room to set up a home theater. The ideal option for full and high-quality viewing would be the equipment of a special room, in the center of which you need to place a home theater. Place a video monitor, as well as front speakers, against one wall, with a sofa or seats for spectators on the opposite.

Leave some space between the wall and the places for people. This arrangement is acoustically optimal. There will be an excess of bass near the wall, and you can also place the speakers behind the listener to create a surround sound effect. Use a typical equipment layout when setting up a home theater

Perform system configuration adjustments to ensure the best sound quality in your home theater. First, select the bass reproduction mode from your speakers, rear and front. It depends on which speakers you are using. If they are small, then exclude the bass components from them. Use a subwoofer to reproduce bass. For large speakers, use full range playback from the speakers.
Step 4
Select the bass mode from the center speaker. If it is large and placed behind the screen, use the Wide option, set it to feed with a bass component. When placing the center speaker on the video display, select the Normal mode.
Step 5
Set the delay time when tuning the center channel. If the front speakers are in an arc, this is not necessary. If they are in a straight line, then delay the signal. A sound delay of 1ms is needed for every thirty cm of difference in the distance between the loudspeaker and the speakers from the listener.
Step 6
Set the channel volume levels. To do this, use the receiver's general volume control, as well as controls for individual channels. Adjust the volume so that the level is the same for all speakers. This can be done using a test signal from the receiver or by playing back a fragment of a movie. If you hear a lot of bass rumble, turn down the volume of the subwoofer. These are the basic audio controls for a home theater.
