The remote control often fails. And it's not always a matter of weak batteries or mechanical damage. As practice shows, the weak point of modern remotes is buttons. Fortunately, you can fix the problem with broken keys yourself.
What if not everything is so bad?
Before proceeding to rescue the broken remote control, it will not be superfluous to check, and suddenly the problem is solved quite simply.
The reason for the inoperative buttons may be batteries planted or moving away from the sensors, an object standing in the way of the remote control and the TV, or the button may not work due to stuck debris that can be removed without opening the case.
If these elementary possible causes of problems are not related to the problem, it's time to start decisive action.
Method 1
More often than not, the keys on the remote stop working due to accumulated grease and dirt. To avoid this, of course, you need to enlist the habits:
- do not take the remote control with dirty hands;
- do not hold the remote control for a long time;
- do not keep the remote control on the dining table.
Well, if trouble has already overtaken, then an autopsy is indispensable.
First you need to remove the batteries. Using a screwdriver, unscrew all the screws that hold the rear panel flap. If the body mount is fixed without the help of additional devices, it must be opened with a blunt knife by prying one of the flaps. This must be done very carefully so that the plastic does not crack.
It is important to photograph the entire contents of the expanded remote control to facilitate final assembly of the device.
The inner part of the console consists of a printed circuit board and a rubberized keyboard. Large areas of dirt are removed with an old toothbrush, fat is removed with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol.
The remote control can be assembled only after complete drying. If you have any doubts about the location of the parts, you can always check with the photo taken earlier.
Method 2
If specific buttons sink and the hygienic treatment of the board did not help, then the problem may be the worn rubber pad. To eliminate this, before parsing it is necessary to write down the buttons that do not work, and only then open the device case.
Under the inoperative buttons, place pillows made of small pieces of food foil attached to stationery glue. After assembly, the broken buttons should work.
