Launcher or shell for Android is an application that allows you to change the appearance of the phone's desktop, icons, menus, lock screen. When the old design gets bored or seems inconvenient, the user can always download a new, more suitable, launcher. But how do you get your old desktop settings back?

How to make the default launcher on Samsung?
- Open the "Settings" of the phone, then - "Applications";
- Click on the button with three dots in the upper right corner (additional options);
- In the "Default Applications" you can see the settings for opening Internet pages, the type of messaging, the operation of the main screen. By default, there is a launcher from Google or Samsung Expirience from Samsung, MIUI desktop from Xiaomi;
- You need to select the required desktop and put a tick in front of it;
- Next, the main screen should automatically use the new settings.
How to make the default launcher on Xiaomi?

How to download the launcher?
Everything is simple here: you need to go to the Google Play Market, in the search bar, ask a query with the keyword - Launcher. From the huge list, choose the appropriate one, but it is better to choose the one with more downloads, because often this add-on, if it is not fully developed, causes the smartphone to malfunction. There are also demo versions of applications, where you can familiarize yourself with them in advance. Or use the launcher for a trial period of time in test mode. After installing the application, you can use the standard and new skins. Not all of them are free, paid ones can be taken in the Lite version, but the functionality will be limited. If, after using the launcher, the user will like it, you can pay extra, since more often such applications are of better quality and are updated.
How do I uninstall the launcher?

If during installation the user pressed the "Always" button, then the downloaded launcher will be displayed automatically when the phone is turned on. To not display it, you need:
- Go to the settings of the launcher itself: the icon should be in the menu or on the phone's desktop;
- Select the item "Default desktop";
- A list of available desktops will open, and in it you need to select a standard one. You don't need to delete anything.
You can also permanently delete the launcher. You just need to go to the settings of the phone itself, open "Applications", scroll through the list to the launcher and delete. In its place will be the standard launcher that was originally in the phone.
