Display damage is one of the most common mobile phone malfunctions. A spare indicator is inexpensive, but a significant amount is asked to replace it in the workshops. It is much more profitable to replace it yourself.

Step 1
If your phone has a touch sensitive display, have it replaced by a qualified technician. If you have never changed displays in phones before, first practice on ordinary ones, and take up models with a touchscreen only after experience comes.
Step 2
Bring a plastic box larger than the display and two anti-static foam spacers in advance. Visit a store specializing in the sale of cell phone parts and repair tools. Both in such stores are several times cheaper than in the markets.
Step 3
Purchase a display and a dedicated telephone screwdriver set. If the designation of the model name on the phone is erased, show the device to the dealer. He can easily identify the model and sell you a display just for her.
Step 4
Since the display is extremely fragile when not in the phone, immediately place it in the box between two sheets of anti-static foam. Take the box home not in your pocket, where it can be easily squeezed, but in a bag.
Step 5
Turn off the phone, disconnect the power supply from it, remove the battery, memory card and SIM card.
Step 6
The way to disassemble a candy bar phone is usually straightforward. For a device in a folding or sliding housing, find the disassembly guide on the Internet. It must be illustrated. Make the search string in English, since in this case the probability of a successful search will be higher.
Step 7
Disassemble the phone. If it has a foldable or sliding design, disassemble only the display cover and skip the steps in the manual for disassembling the main unit. Put all small parts in a jar.
Step 8
Disconnect the old display ribbon cable and remove it. Attach the new display and connect the ribbon cable.
Step 9
Assemble the phone in reverse order. Make sure the display is working and the microphone, both speakers, backlight, keyboard, camera, and vibrate are still working.
