To set up a TV connection to a stationary computer, you need to take into account several nuances. This mainly concerns the choice of the type of connection between the two above devices.
Necessary
VDI-HDMI cable
Instructions
Step 1
Examine the connectors located on your TV and system unit. Determine the appropriate types. Remember that not only identical channels can be connected. For the best picture quality on the TV, we recommend using digital data channels such as VDI and HDMI.
Step 2
Select the connectors through which you will connect the TV to the system unit. Usually, the DVI port of the video card is connected to the HDMI connector of the TV. To do this, you need a DVI-HMDI adapter and HDMI-HDMI cable. Connect the TV to the PC video card with these devices.
Step 3
Switch on both of the above equipment. Be sure to open the TV settings menu and select the desired port from which the signal will be received. Now proceed to configure the settings for your computer's video adapter.
Step 4
If you are using a TV without a monitor, then you only need to adjust the screen resolution. In Windows Seven, right-click on the desktop and select "Screen Resolution". Set the appropriate resolution and click the "Apply" button.
Step 5
If you want to use the TV and monitor in sync, then complete the detailed settings. First, determine which of the devices will be the main one. Click on its graphic in the "Screen Resolution" menu and activate the "Make this display the primary" option.
Step 6
Now select the options for the second display. Select the Duplicate Screen option to display the same image on your monitor and TV. Select the Expand Screen option to use these devices for different purposes. This will allow different programs and applications to run on both displays at the same time. This feature is most commonly used at home.
