The most common causes of cell phone breakdown are shocks and drowning. In what only people manage to drown their devices! And in the toilet, and in a pot of soup, and in the river … Anywhere. Many cell phone manufacturers say it's impossible to fix your phone after drowning. In fact this is not true. If you've drowned your phone or spilled something on it, try fixing it yourself. The main thing is to act immediately.

Instructions

Step 1

Immediately after you notice that your phone is wet, take action, because a minute of delay can cost your phone your life. First, remove all removable elements - open the cover, take out the battery, take out the SIM card and flash card. Take a cloth that can absorb water (not synthetic) or tissue or toilet paper and wipe everything you can dry. If you have cotton swabs, use them. Wipe the inside and outside of the case and try to reassemble and turn on the phone. If it doesn't work, proceed to the next steps.

Step 2

Take a hairdryer, turn it on and dry your phone with it. Dry especially carefully where the battery is located, as there are usually many small holes where water could have flowed in. Do not hold the hairdryer too close to the phone - the air jet is hot and can ruin the phone case or its internal boards - they can simply melt … You can also burn yourself if the phone is hot. Continue drying for about twenty minutes and then check again to see if the phone turns on. If not, more complex procedures will be required.

Step 3

Use long-term drying of your phone. This method is especially suitable if the phone is very wet, that is, it is completely immersed in water. Disassemble the phone and put it in a dry place - for example, in a stack of washed laundry, next to a dryer, etc. Do not place it on top of the battery - it will dry out faster than necessary and may be damaged by excessive heat. When laying the phone down to dry, place it with the back facing up to help the water evaporate. If you have a touchscreen, try to remove it - there are tiny screws on the back for that. Remember that in this case, no one guarantees the further performance of your phone.

Step 4

If all else fails, take your phone to the service center - they may agree to help you. However, in some cases, water can provoke the appearance of rust and short circuits, which means that you will have to replace any elements of the phone with new ones. The problem is that sometimes this replacement costs the same as a new phone of the same model.
