Mobile Agent is a convenient application for mobile devices that allows you to communicate with your friends in Mail. Agent, ICQ and other Jabber services, check mail on mail.ru directly from your mobile phone (switchboard, etc.).
Instructions
Step 1
You can set up a mobile gent only if the phone has been configured with GPRS-internet (usually GPRS-wap is used to work on the Internet from a phone, but in this case it will not work).
Step 2
To get the settings, go to the site https://agent.mail.ru/cgi-bin/gprs, choose your phone model from the list, enter the number. The necessary settings will be sent via SMS
Step 3
If your phone model is not listed, read its instructions or contact the operator.
Step 4
Find out in the instructions for your phone which platform for applications it uses. Depending on this, download from the site https://agent.mail.ru/ the version of the Agent suitable for your phone (the site contains versions of the mobile agent for all major mobile platforms)
Step 5
On the developer site, there are 3 ways to download a mobile agent:
- it can be received via SMS;
- download from the mobile portal;
- download to a computer and transfer the program to the phone using Bluetooth, data cable or infrared connection.
Use the most convenient way for you.
Step 6
Run the program on your phone.
Step 7
In the "Settings" menu, select the "Account" item. Enter your postal address at mail.ru and password. Now in the main menu, select the "Status" option and change it to "Online".
Step 8
If you managed to configure the mobile agent and the phone is compatible with the program, the program will connect to the server.
Step 9
Now you can customize the notification sounds in the "Settings" → "Notifications" menu.
Step 10
If you want to communicate from a mobile agent via ICQ, then add the appropriate account to it. (This and the following points do not apply to Mobile Agent for iPhone). If desired, you can add accounts for VKontakte and other Jabber services by following the described procedure.
