Lenovo P780 is the seventh generation P-line smartphone from Lenovo. It was announced on July 15, 2013 and shortly thereafter went on sale in all countries of the world.
Appearance and ergonomics
Lenovo P780 looks like the most common budget smartphone of yesteryear. He has the same usual monochrome body, rounded at the edges. The screen is covered on all sides by wide black bezels that match the black color of the body.
The front of the smartphone has a camera, speaker and three system buttons. The buttons are touch-sensitive and without illumination, it is impossible to find them in complete darkness. But you can get used to them, their functions and location are standard for phones of this class. It will be much more difficult to get used to the location of the power and volume buttons. Unlike most other smartphones, in the lenovo p780 the power button is on the top, not on the side. Holding the phone in one hand, not all users will find it convenient to turn it on. The situation is similar with the volume control button. It is located on the right side of the device, which is not very convenient for the right hand. The buttons are closed with a palm and to change the volume you need to either release the phone from your hands, or get the hang of it and press these buttons with your palm without using your fingers.
Characteristics
The lenovo p780 has a good quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor with a frequency of 1.2 GHz. For better performance, the PowerVR SGX544 graphics accelerator takes over some of the CPU load.
The device shows low performance for the current year, but sufficient for most tasks. In the benchmark, the antutu smarton scores exactly 14 thousand points.
The smartphone is not suitable for saving photos or recording videos, since it has only 4 GB of internal memory. Its volume can be expanded with microSD memory cards, but only up to 36 GB in total. New phones now have 64 GB of memory "out of the box" and it can be increased by another 256 GB. Lenovo is also not very good with RAM. 1 GB of memory is enough to run a maximum of 2-3 simple applications, you don't have to think about normal multitasking.
The 5-inch screen produces a resolution of 1280 by 720 pixels, which is quite good for such a device. The entire front part is protected by scratch-resistant glass. But it will not save the screen from physical damage. The viewing angles of the lenovo p780 are large, so you can even watch movies from it.
Installed 2 cameras. The main one with a resolution of 8 megapixels, the front one is 0.3 megapixels. Photos and videos are not of the highest quality.
A 4000 mAh battery allows the device to work for 6-8 hours in video viewing mode. This is a very large figure for any modern smartphone.
Price
Lenovo p780 has been discontinued and cannot be bought in official stores.
