Despite the fact that Yandex is most often associated by users as a search engine or e-mail, the company has its own branded phone with a corresponding name. But is it worth buying it?
Design
It is worth paying attention to the fact that the device is not aimed at a mass audience, and therefore Yandex. Phone is presented in only one color variant - black. The body is metal and does not shimmer in the light. The back panel is very easily soiled and leaves stains and fingerprints on itself, and therefore it is best to use it in a case, or wipe it constantly.
The case is not included, but it can be ordered. In general, it is of sufficient quality and can make the device look bright.
With dimensions of 150.1 x 72.5 x 8, 28 mm, the smartphone fits very well in the hand. Due to its light weight (163 grams), the hand does not get tired after long-term work with a smartphone.
As for the fingerprint scanner, it is fast enough, but sometimes freezes. This becomes especially noticeable in the cold. Wet fingers will not be able to recognize.
The layout of the buttons is standard - the power button and volume control are on the right side. There is a port for wired headphones 3.5 mm, as well as a port for charging and transferring files - USB Type-C.
Camera
The front camera has only 5 MP. The manufacturer has added a flash, but there are no additional effects. There is no autofocus and blurring of the background, and therefore the quality of the obtained photos is very low - noise, extra shadows and rays appear.
The main camera is represented by two lenses. The first has 16 MP, the second has 5 MP. The second lens was disabled at the start of sales.
In terms of price category, for comparison, the Huawei Mate 20 Lite is suitable for Yandex. Phone, and the second model is better in almost all respects. The smartphone from Yandex has a rather narrow palette of colors, while the focus is constantly "walking". Photos are very soapy and dark. In general, the camera is rather mediocre and cannot boast of its chips or good performance.
Meizu X8 costs almost the same, while the quality of the photos changes dramatically. It seems that Yandex. Telephone has a completely copied module from a device that costs 2-3 thousand rubles.
Movies on this device can be shot in maximum Full HD quality (1080p) at 30 frames per second.
