The choice of battery must be taken seriously. Check if it works when buying a laptop. Place the battery in the battery slot and turn on the laptop.
Step 2
Connect power to the device. Make sure the indicator shows battery power. Wait for a full charge. This can take a long time.
Step 3
Make sure the indicator shows 99% or 100% when the battery is fully charged. If this value does not exceed 98%, then this battery is not of high quality. Ask for a replacement or choose a different laptop.
Step 4
Based on the fact that laptop batteries are still based on lithium ions (LiOn icon), it is necessary to charge and discharge the battery. Turn off your laptop and reconnect power to it.
Step 5
Wait until the battery is fully charged. Unplug your laptop from the electrical outlet. Turn on the device. Run a not very powerful application on it, such as an audio player. Wait until the battery is completely discharged. Repeat this cycle two to three times. Don't run games or powerful video editors to drain your battery quickly.
Step 6
In order for the battery to last longer, you need to take good care of it. Try not to use the battery if you have the ability to connect the laptop to the mains.
Step 7
Do not remove a fully charged or discharged battery pack from your laptop. Wait until the battery charge is within 40-60%, and only then remove it.
Step 8
Wrap the battery in a plastic bag and store in a place protected from sunlight. Avoid rooms with high humidity and, moreover, with condensation. Insert the battery only into the switched off laptop.
