If you lose your SIM card, you can restore the number and data that were saved on it. To do this, you will need to contact your telecom operator with an appropriate application for the production of a new and blocking of the previous card.
Instructions
Step 1
After discovering the fact of losing your SIM card, you need to block it. To do this, call the customer support center of your operator, the number of which can be found on the official website of the cellular company or in the annexes to the previously concluded communication agreement. You can also directly contact the nearest communication salon.
Step 2
Inform the operator about the loss of the card. Some cellular service providers block the card only after providing detailed personal data. At the operator's request, give your passport data, the date of issue of the card, the estimated balance at the time of loss and the code word (if required) that was set during the contract conclusion process.
Step 3
After blocking your SIM card, contact the nearest customer service center of your operator. Fill out an application for card recovery and report that it has been blocked. Provide proof of identification for card recovery and consult with a specialist in the customer service department. You will also need to indicate your old number and the details of the person to whom it was registered. In the application, you will also need to mention the circumstances under which the loss occurred.
Step 4
Wait while the support employee checks the registration of the SIM card on your face. After receiving confirmation, the employee will continue processing the application and inform about the recovery time. Sometimes some operators replace and issue a new SIM card almost immediately.
Step 5
When issuing a SIM card, your balance and phone number will be restored, which was previously used. It should be noted that some operators may charge a number recovery service.
