Modern digital video files can be successfully recorded on a VHS videotape. Naturally, for this process to occur, your video player must support the function of recording, not just reading information.

Step 1
To record video to a VHS tape, you need either two players, or a player with recording function and a personal computer. In the first case, you can rewrite information from a cassette to a cassette, and in the second, transfer digital information to an analog medium. Stop your attention on the second option.
Step 2
Select the type of connection between your computer or laptop and the TV. The capabilities of modern TVs allow you to connect a large number of devices to them at the same time. Considering the fact that the recording will be carried out on a VHS cassette, the connection can be made via an analog channel, not a digital one. The quality of the recording will not decrease from this.
Step 3
Connect the computer's video card to the TV. Configure the synchronous operation parameters for these devices. Select the desired display mode. In the TV settings, specify the port to use to output information from the video card to the TV display.
Step 4
Connect your VCR to your TV. Usually SCART channels or a set of "tulips" are used for this. Turn on the VCR and insert the video cassette into it.
Step 5
Prepare your computer to play videos. Disable any programs that might display pop-ups. Disconnect your internet connection and suspend your antivirus software. Turn off standard operating system sounds.
Step 6
Open the video player on your computer. Run the file you want. Start recording the TV screen using the VCR remote. Try not to touch the knobs to avoid disabling full screen playback. Wait for the end of the movie and press the "Stop" button.
