Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is a smartphone released in February 2019 with an interesting design and a good camera. But is there a need for it and is it worth the attention of buyers?
Design
Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 has a serious look. The back panel lacks a gradient coating like most models from Xiaomi. It is ceramic. In this regard, traces and stains constantly remain on it. If there is no desire to constantly wipe the case, then it is recommended to use the device in a case, fortunately, it comes in the kit.
The dimensions of the smartphone are 158 × 75 × 8.5 mm. It does not sit very comfortably in the hand, 218 grams is felt, and the brush starts to get tired after a long work. It is also inconvenient to use the slider halves - instead of the usual upward movements, here you need to move the screen down. The movement is difficult, because of this, the phone sometimes slides off.
The screen makes up 93% of the entire front of the smartphone, as there are no wide bezels and "bangs" here. The fingerprint sensor is located on the back of the phone at a fairly comfortable level, the index finger can easily reach it. Unlocking is fast enough.
Camera
The front camera Sony IMX576 has 24 MP, supports portrait mode, which means blurring the background and focusing on the main subject. The camera copes well with focus, although the level of detail and sharpness is a little lame.
The main camera consists of two 12 MP lenses. The only difference is the aperture - f / 1, 8 and f / 2, 4. The quality of the photos is quite high and decent. In poor lighting, the focus on the main detail remains, there are no unnecessary noise or shadows. The only defect of the camera is a decrease in detail on the sides. The smartphone copes well with everything else.
As for video shooting, the camera can shoot video in the maximum 4K format at a frequency of 30 frames per second. If you change the quality to FullHD (1080p), then the frame rate increases to 60 frames per second. If we compare it with other models, then the result is approximately identical to Xiaom Mi 8 and very close to the flagships of Huawei.
