Firmware is the contents of the non-volatile memory of a computer, as well as any of the digital computing devices: a cell phone, calculator, GPS navigator, iPad, etc. It contains the firmware of the device.
The memory is flashed during the manufacture of the device and is performed in various ways. This can be, for example, installing a "flashed" memory microcircuit. The overwhelming majority of devices can be flashed, i.e. replacement of memory contents. The methods of performing this operation can be different - from replacing the memory chip and to transferring specific data over wireless channels. In the case of data transfer (without replacing the chip), the firmware is saved in one of the directories of your device designated specifically for this purpose. A computer is used as an intermediary. For a more illustrative example, you can consider the algorithm for installing a flashing for the iPad. When choosing a program for firmware, pay attention to its version, the higher it is, the more relevant. You can find and download the appropriate program on the Internet by specifying the parameters you need in the search bar. Remember the path where the firmware will be saved on your computer, usually this is a folder on the C drive called "Downloads". After downloading the program, connect your iPad to your computer via USB. Wait for your iPad to appear in iTunes. Go to the "Your_iPad_name" section. Press the "Shift" button, hold it in this position and, without releasing it, press the "Restore" button. You will see a window for selecting the firmware: select the downloaded file for the iPad firmware. Click "Open". Do not disconnect the iPad from USB during this time. It is desirable that the charge of its battery is more than 5 percent. Wait a few minutes. Upon completion of the process (which the inscription on the device screen will let you know about), you will have a fully flashed iPad. Before flashing the device, make a backup copy to hedge against various unforeseen situations.
