In the context of the total spread of cellular communications, landline home phones have receded into the background. The new generation does not always understand even the essence of Stirlitz's misadventures, many of whose problems would be solved at once with one cell phone call. Nevertheless, the majority of the population is in no hurry to give up ordinary home phones, sometimes inherited from their parents.
Instructions
Step 1
Visit the nearest post office with a telephone call point. You can find out the balance of your home phone there using the terminals installed in the visitor's hall. Some post offices that are not equipped with telephone booths also have such terminals, as they are in many telephone booths that are not combined with a post office. Enter your phone number from the keyboard and the terminal, after thinking, will show on the screen the amount of expenses for the ended month and the amount you should pay. Such information will be presented separately for urban and intercity telephone services.
Step 2
Visit your regional or city telephone exchange - there you can find out from the operator not only the balance, but also ask for a detailed printout of incoming and outgoing phone calls from your number.
Step 3
Call the support service or the information service of the telecom operator with whom you have concluded an agreement for the provision of urban and long-distance telephone services. The operator on duty will provide you with information on the amount of your phone bill balance. Be prepared for the fact that, in addition to the phone number, the operator may ask you to give the contract number or the name and surname of the person who entered into this contract.
Step 4
Send an SMS message to the short number allocated by your operator to inform subscribers about the balances on their accounts. This service is usually free of charge, although not yet provided by all fixed-line operators. On the operator's website or by calling technical support, you need to clarify the format of such an SMS message. It should contain a landline phone number and a code for the information you want to receive. You can find out in this way both the total balance of all services, and the separate amounts for city, long-distance and Internet communications.
Step 5
Use the subscriber's personal account if your landline operator provides such a service. After logging into the operator's statistics server, you will find in the private area detailed information on the amount of expenses by month and the balance of the balance separately for city, intercity and Internet communications.
