In Russia, ICQ is one of the most popular online communication services. Numerous mobile phone apps keep you connected, even if you don't have a computer with internet access at your fingertips.
Instructions
Step 1
Download ICQ for your mobile phone. To do this, launch a web browser on your computer and go to the site of the mobile application developer. Find the "Download" link and click on it. If necessary, specify your phone model and other parameters. Click the "Save" button and wait for the download to finish.
Step 2
Connect your phone to your computer. To do this, use the supplied USB cable, one end of which connect to your mobile phone and the other to the corresponding connector on your computer. Wait until the system fully detects the device, which will notify you with a characteristic sound. If necessary, the drivers will be installed in automatic mode, which are responsible for the operation of the mobile phone as a removable device.
Step 3
Open your phone folder using Explorer. In another window, open the folder that contains the ICQ application files for the mobile phone. Select them, right-click, select "Copy", then open the folder on your phone intended for applications, right-click and select "Paste". Wait for the end of the copying process.
Step 4
Then open the downloaded file on your mobile phone. The application will either launch immediately, or the installation process will begin, depending on the phone model.
Step 5
Not all mobile phones support this method of installing applications. To install ICQ in such phones, run the program designed to synchronize your computer and mobile phone. It is usually included in the package and can be found on the corresponding CD-ROM. If you lose it (or lack it for another reason), download the application from the official website of your mobile phone manufacturer.
Step 6
Run the program. Find the menu item responsible for installing mobile applications and select it. In the interface that appears, specify the location of the ICQ file on your computer, select it and click the "Install" button. Wait for the process to finish.
