Night photography is definitely fascinating. And it is in vain that you think that such pictures can only be taken with a very expensive SLR camera, you are seriously mistaken. In a word, if you are happy (but for some reason you yourself still deny it) the owner of an unprofessional camera, just rummage in the settings, and you will succeed no worse.

To make it easy to shoot at night, you need to manually adjust some settings on the camera. First, find a wheel on your camera and set it to M mode. Then go to the menu and find the item with ISO (sensitivity). The higher the value, the brighter the picture becomes. But keep in mind that when you raise the ISO at the same time, a lot of noise can appear in the photo, which spoils the whole picture. Therefore, it is best to set the sensitivity value at 80, sometimes it can be increased to 100.

In addition, you also need to set the exposure time. To indicate it correctly, use the exposure meter, which is built into most cameras. The value "0" corresponds to pictures with normal illumination, minus values - just for night, poorly lit shots. Plus means the presence of light in the photo.

Set, for example, two seconds for the shutter speed, having specified the ISO in advance. Disable flash. Aim the camera lens towards your subject and focus by pressing the shutter button only halfway (no more!). The metering value should appear on the screen. If it goes into minus, add the exposure time. The optimal value is indicators from +0.5 to +1.

Another good tip is to shoot night photos from stationary surfaces or from a tripod. This will eliminate blurry light and shaky hands in your photos. And don't forget to turn off your flash.
