Step 1

First, polycarbonate granules enter the plant and are loaded into a special drying device. After that, they are fed to the injection molding machine, where they are heated to a liquid state.

Step 2

Liquid polycarbonate is poured into a special press, where a device called a stamper is located, which is a metal plate with an image of the information that needs to be recorded on it. The material heated to 250 degrees takes the form of a disk, and information in the form of microscopic depressions is imprinted on it.

Step 3

The workpieces are cooled to room temperature on a special cooling unit, after which they are covered with a reflective surface made of metal. This is done so that the drive's laser can read the recorded information.

Step 4

The surface is tested with a laser. If the device reads the data recorded on the medium, the disc is sent for painting, where a pattern is applied using special equipment. The media is then packaged, sent to the distribution center, from where it is delivered to customers or stores.
