Many mobile operators strive to diversify the packages of services provided to subscribers and notify the latter about all significant changes through news or SMS-mailing. As a rule, many of them bring a lot of useful things with them, for example, the ability to download your own melody instead of the annoying phone ringtone when making a call.
Instructions
Step 1
Become familiar with the technology before using it: the quality of the melody played will not be the highest due to the fact that cell phones and the data transfer protocols created for cellular networks were not designed to transmit high-quality sound. Also, the sounding time of the melody will be limited, since the servers of cellular providers are not so large in order to store an individual melody for each subscriber (many are cunning and only offer a pre-prepared list of available melodies so as not to allocate a lot of space for the original melody to each subscriber).
Step 2
Visit the website of your mobile operator and find a section where you can familiarize yourself with the list of services provided by your operator (most often it is called "Services" or "Tariffs"). Most likely, the site will need to be opened from a computer, since you will need to use Flash technology to download your music file, which is not supported on mobile devices.
Step 3
From the list of services, select the one that, according to the description, is suitable for "downloading your melody instead of a dial tone" (it is impossible to give approximate names, since the operators themselves often change the names of their services, and each provider has different names). After finding it, it remains to perform the last step - uploading the melody to the server.
Step 4
Accept the agreement, which will stipulate the prices for the service, and you will be asked to choose a melody from the list of available ones or download your own. It is the latter that is required.
Step 5
On the page that opens by clicking on the link, follow the instructions by selecting the desired file from your computer and clicking the "Download" button. After completing these actions, the amount already known to you from the agreement will be debited from your mobile phone account, and the service will be immediately provided after the funds have been debited.
