Camcorders, like many other devices, can fail sooner or later. In such cases, it is important to start recovering information from this device in a timely manner. This will allow you to save the captured footage.
It is necessary
- - Easy Recovery;
- - Mount'n'Drive.
Instructions
Step 1
If information is recorded in your camcorder to a removable storage device, remove the USB flash drive and connect it to the card reader. Now connect your device to the USB port of your computer or laptop. Sometimes it is necessary to use a special USB-miniUSB cable for this.
Step 2
Try copying data from a flash card. If you cannot do this in the usual way, install the Easy Recovery program. Run the utility and select Recovery Data. Go to the Deleted Recovery menu.
Step 3
After opening a new dialog menu, select the desired flash card. Click the Next button. Check the box next to Complete Scan to enable deep scan mode. Enter the name of the format in which the camcorder saves data in the File Filter field, for example *.avi. Now the program will search for all previously existing files with this extension.
Step 4
Click the Next button and wait for the USB flash drive scanning to complete. This procedure can take over an hour. Much depends on the speed of reading the card and its size. After the program has created a list of ready-to-restore video files, select the required data and click the Save button. Select the folder where the recovered data will be copied. Close Easy Recovery when it finishes.
Step 5
If the camcorder has its own memory and writes files to the internal storage, connect the unit to the computer using a cable. Download and install Mount'n'Drive software. Run this utility.
Step 6
Wait for the connected drives to be detected. Highlight the video camera's flash drive with the right mouse button and select "Mount". Specify the letter to be assigned to the new drive. Copy the information from the created image of the flash drive of the video camera. If the data has been corrupted, use Easy Recovery to recover it.
