The process of adding a video to iPhone boils down to three sequential steps: preparing the file, adding the selected file to your iTunes library, and syncing your computer to the iPhone. As you know, the iPhone can only play H.264 / MPEG-4 formats. Therefore, you should start by converting the desired file into an accessible iPhone format.
Necessary
- - iTunes;
- - Movies2iPhone or iSquint
Instructions
Step 1
Download and install Movies2iPhone program that can convert almost any format - Divx, Xvid, avi, mpeg, wmv, asf, mov, vob and others (for Windows XP and Windows Vista).
Step 2
Run the program and specify the path to the desired file in the Select Movie to Convert field on the Convert tab (for Windows XP and Windows Vista).
Step 3
Specify the location to save the converted file in the Select the Output Folder field and click the Convert the Movie to my iPhone button (for Windows XP and Windows Vista).
Step 4
Wait until the end of the process of converting the file to the desired format (for Windows XP and Windows Vista).
Step 5
Launch iSquint, which is a cropped version of VisualHub (for Mac OS).
Step 6
Specify the path to the required file and click the Start button to execute the command (for Mac OS).
Step 7
Launch iTunes on your computer and go to the File menu in the top bar of the application.
Step 8
Select Add File to Library to add a single file, or Add Folder to Library to add the contents of an entire folder.
Step 9
Specify the required file or folder in the opened application window and click the "Open" button.
An alternative and easier way to move files is to drag-and-drop files into the program field.
Step 10
Connect your iPhone to your computer and wait for the device sync dialog to appear.
Step 11
Go to the "Movies" tab and apply the checkbox to the "Automatically include" box.
Step 12
Check the Sync All Movies check box to transfer all videos, or the Synchronize Selected Movies check box to copy your favorite files.
Step 13
Specify the required file and click the "Synchronize" button in the lower right part of the application window.
Step 14
Wait for the sync to finish and disconnect your iPhone.
