While looking through email from your phone, you found that you were sent a ZIP archive containing files in formats that can be opened directly with a smartphone. However, you must first unpack the archive itself. This can be done by means of the phone, if it is running Symbian OS.

Instructions

Step 1

Go to the following site: https://www.lonelycatgames.com/?app=xplore. Download the SIS or SISX file from there with the version of X-Plore suitable for your mobile phone model

Step 2

Read the terms of use of the program. From their point of view, it is in the middle between freeware and shareware. You can register it for a fee if you wish, however, this procedure is not mandatory. Without registration, the program is allowed to be used for an unlimited period.

Step 3

Transfer the file to the memory card in the phone to a folder called Others in any way available to you (IrDA, Bluetooth, cable, card reader). If you are using a card reader, remember to use the "Eject Card" feature on your phone's menu. The corresponding item is located in the short menu, which appears when you press the power button of the device for a short time. Note that older Symbian phones may not be able to hot-eject the memory card at all. Then the device will have to be turned off before removing the card.

Step 4

Launch the built-in file manager of the machine. The corresponding submenu item is located in the folder of the main menu of the phone bearing the name "Tools".

Step 5

The contents of the built-in phone memory will be displayed. Press the right button of the joystick and the contents of the memory card will be displayed instead. Go to the Other folder (this is how the built-in file manager automatically renames the Others folder when displayed).

Step 6

Find the SIS or SISX file containing the X-Plore program. Install it with a memory card as the installation location.

Step 7

Go to the "My Applications" menu folder, then find the X-Plore program in it and launch it.

Step 8

Find the archive on the memory card (drive E:), go inside it, then open it directly or extract the files you need to any desired folder. Remember that only two archive formats can be processed this way: ZIP and RAR. JAR archives are technically completely analogous to ZIP archives and therefore can also be opened. Archives of TAR. GZ, TGZ and similar formats are not supported by the X-Plore program.
