Unpleasant breakdowns

The most common malfunction that occurs during the operation of refrigerators is unexpectedly low temperatures. At the same time, its regulator can be at a minimum, but despite this, the back wall is covered with ice or snow, and the products turn into blocks of colored ice. There are several possible reasons for such phenomena.

First, your refrigerator has a broken thermostat. This is the main component of any refrigerator, it is a device with a relay device that is responsible for maintaining a constant temperature, it also prevents the formation of snow on the walls. If the thermostat relay breaks, the regulator does not work in time, significantly lowering the temperature. The relay can fail due to mechanical damage or banal moisture penetration into the electrical connections of the thermostat. Repair specialists usually check the condition of the thermostat, change its parts or the entire device.

The second reason is refrigerant leakage. The main cooling component of the refrigerator is freon. This gas can escape due to the appearance of microcracks in the cooling circuit. This can cause the refrigerator to freeze severely and refuse to shut down. Specialists will determine the location of the freon leak, replace or solder the equipment.

If your refrigerator shows a whole range of malfunctions at once, most likely the electronic control unit "flew". In this case, you need to immediately call the service center.

The third option is clogged capillary pipes, which contain the refrigerant. These pipes periodically become clogged, which significantly reduces the operating temperature. To eliminate the problem, repairmen use special equipment to clean the clogged pipe, if necessary, carrying out welding and filling activities.

Super freeze mode

Turning on the super freeze mode can lead to unpleasant consequences. In this case, it is enough to check the settings of your refrigerator and switch it to the storage mode by deactivating the super freeze function.

If your refrigerator hums a lot, then it is not installed evenly. Try changing its position, this may reduce the noise level.

If, in general, your refrigerator works satisfactorily, keeping the temperature at a given level, but a layer of ice or snow constantly builds up at the back wall, this means that the unit is not tight. Most likely, the sealing rubber around the perimeter of the door has torn. You can try to seal the gap yourself, but it is better to call a master who will replace such rubber with a new one, which is much more reliable.
