To send a free SMS from a computer to a cell phone, you need to have an Internet connection, a browser, or special programs for instant messaging. Sending free SMS has some limitations, however, using this feature within reasonable limits, you can save a significant amount on SMS.

Step 1
Connect to the Internet, open a browser and go to the website of the telecom operator whose subscriber you want to send a message to. On the main page, click on the link that says "Send SMS". On the next web page, fill out the special message submission form. At the top, write your phone number, and at the bottom, enter your text. Before sending, set the SMS delivery time, as well as the time after which the message can not be sent (in case of loss of relevance). In addition, select the type of text to be used in SMS - Cyrillic or transliteration. After filling in all the required fields, click on the "Send" button. On the next page, you will see a display of the message status: Delivered or In Progress.

Download and install the Mail. Ru Agent program on your computer. To use this program, first register on the Mail. Ru portal. After starting the program, to access the network, you need to enter your e-mail and password. Then, in the main window of the program, click on the "Menu" button. In the menu, select the line "Add contact for calls and SMS". In the dialog box that opens, enter the phone number to which you want to send the message and click OK. As a result, the phone number will be displayed in the Agent's contact list. Select it with a double click of the mouse and type a message in the text input field, and then click the "Send" button. After a while (depending on the server load), an SMS message will be sent to the specified phone, which will be signed by your username in Mail.ru.
Step 3
Go to the site smste.ru, and send a free message using it. To do this, right on the main page of the site, enter a phone number, a message, and a signature. Before sending a free SMS, enter the code from the picture (captcha). Then click the "Submit" button. The message will be sent to the specified number.
