In our stores you can find so many different gadgets that you may simply not have time to remember even their names, not to try to use each type. I must say that nettops for home are bought, in my opinion, not often, so I suspect that not everyone knows what it is.
The word nettop means a small computer designed primarily for work and entertainment surfing the network (both local and worldwide). The term "nettop" itself is just a compound word from "InterNET" and "deskTOP".
Most nettops look like a small box, the size of which can vary, but on average you can focus on the following figures: length about 20-25 cm, width about 15-20 cm, thickness a little more than a standard hard drive for a computer. This means that the nettop will be convenient for those home users who need to save space on their desk. Moreover, many modern monitors have a so-called VESA mount on the back, on which a nettop can be fixed. If you don't want to mount this small computer on a monitor, it can be placed on a special stand on the table, and it also takes up very little space.
From the point of view of the capabilities of the filling of the nettop, it can be noted that such a computer is suitable not only for managers working with office programs, databases, searching for information on the Internet, but also for those home users who want to watch movies, play undemanding games.
This is not to say that modern nettops are very weak computers. In more expensive nettop models, you can find modern processors from Intel (i3-i7), and large hard drives, and a large amount of RAM. When this kind of computers appeared, they were considered small, low-power, so to speak, simplified, "cut-off" ordinary computers. But every time, as technology develops, the difference between nettops and stationary computers is erased, the only thing is that to save space in the nettop manufacturers practically do not put a CD drive.
