The iPad is presented by Apple as a means of accessing the Internet and working with electronic documents. The device runs the iOS operating system, which is also installed on iPhone phones. However, it is not possible to make voice calls from this tablet, but you can use the Internet to make calls.

It is not possible to make voice calls over the GSM network from the iPad due to the limitation of this functionality by Apple. Even by connecting headphones, a direct call from the device menu will not work, because this function was not provided.

However, you can make voice calls using special programs that work over the network protocol. One of the most popular utilities for making voice and video calls is Skype, available for installation using the iTunes or AppStore of the device.

Find the program using your computer (iTunes) or directly on the device through the AppStore. In the menu that appears, enter the Skype query in the search bar and click on the result. The application is distributed absolutely free of charge and can be installed on any iPad. If you are installing using iTunes, connect your tablet to your computer to sync and install the software on your device.

Start Skype by clicking on the icon in the main menu of the device. You will see the start window of the program, in which you will be asked to enter the data of an existing account. If you do not have an account to use the service, you can create one in the application. To do this, click "Register" at the bottom of the proposed form.

Then select the contact in your device notebook or in the Skype menu. Press "Call" to make a call. You can also make calls to subscribers of cellular networks. To do this, you will need to top up your account in any terminal that allows you to pay for communication services. After the required amount of funds is credited, you can call the numbers you specified through the program menu.
