The wide range of modern TVs only makes it difficult to choose the right model. Fortunately, choosing a TV for your kitchen is not difficult if you pay attention to certain details.
Instructions
Step 1
Decide on the size of your kitchen TV screen. In this case, it all depends on your personal preferences and the availability of free space for installing the TV. Note that the optimal viewing distance is approximately two diagonals. If the TV is located one and a half meters from the viewer, then the screen diagonal should be 26-29 inches. For a relatively small kitchen, 24-inch screens are ideal. TVs with such a diagonal take up little space and can be placed in almost any corner of the room.
Step 2
Decide where exactly the TV will be located. Often kitchen TVs are hung on brackets. This option is used to save useful space on the tables. The swivel bracket lets you watch your favorite shows from virtually anywhere in the kitchen. Please note that not all LCD TV models smaller than 32 inches have bracket mounting holes. If you are using a fixed mount, be sure to choose a TV with a wide viewing angle (over 160 degrees). Otherwise, the picture will be highly distorted when watching TV, even from a small angle.
Step 3
Check out the additional features of the TV you purchased. The presence of support for 3D-images in this case can be considered an unnecessary luxury. Almost all modern LCD TVs allow you to run videos from flash drives. If you absolutely do not need this function, select the model from previous years. Their price, as a rule, is lower than modern counterparts.
Step 4
Recently, the Smart-TV function has become very popular. Whether this option is needed is up to you personally. The obvious advantages include the ability to run movies or TV shows online. Unfortunately, if the TV does not have a built-in Wi-Fi receiver, you will have to pull the LAN cable from the router to the TV. Purchasing a Wi-Fi TV or purchasing an additional adapter will help you avoid the clutter of wires.
Step 5
Pay attention to the appearance of the selected TV model. In this case, we are talking not only about the color scheme. Practice shows that kitchen TV screens are often heavily soiled. Some manufacturers equip TVs with a small diagonal with protective glass. This technology greatly facilitates the care of the screen and allows you to extend the life of your TV.
Step 6
Check the possibility of receiving digital channels if you plan to connect an appropriate antenna to the TV. The DVB-T2 standard is not supported by all modern models. For the convenience of watching cable TV, you can use a TV with a smart card slot and a DVB-S2 connector.
