Although Meizu does not occupy such a leading position on the Russian market as, for example, Xiaomi, nevertheless, its devices can be safely put in competitors to the current market leaders. Meizu smartphones are always flagship devices with top-end characteristics at the time of release, and one of them is Meizu MX4.

Price

For 2018, this mobile phone can be bought for $ 300 in the Russian market. And although this price does not fit into the usual line of state employees from Meizu, the demand for it is still great.

Ergonomic

The unusual aspect ratio of the screen is immediately striking - 15: 9. Thin and light body, strongly tapered side edges cut into the fingers, creating discomfort when using the device. This is a very big disadvantage to Meise's karma, since a $ 300 smartphone has no right to have such obvious disadvantages. The back cover is removable, there is only one SIM card slot under it and nothing else. In the 21st century, where almost every smartphone has at least 2 sim cards and a slot for a memory card, such a decision by the developers of Meizu MX 4 is extremely frivolous. The touch buttons in the lower part of the front panel are traditionally absent for Meizu devices, except for one, the central one, framed by a circle with a bright white backlight.

Memory

If you take a lot of photographs, or shoot high-resolution videos, or otherwise like to clog the device's memory in some way - this smartphone is not for you. The device has versions for 16 and 32 gigabytes of internal memory without the possibility of expanding a flash drive.

Screen

Meizu MX4 is equipped with an IPS matrix produced by Sharp, which is called New Mode 2 by the developers themselves. The density of points is high, but far from being a record, and reaches 418 ppi. The screen is covered with Gorilla Glass 3 protective glass with airless interlayer technology.

Performance and specifications

The phone has an unusual Meizu chipset: an 8-core MediaTek MT6595 processor with a PowerVR G6200 MP4 video accelerator and 2 gigabytes of RAM on board, which was specially customized for this phone. In the Antutu benchmark, the phone scores 47 thousand points.

Connection

When working with 2G and 3G networks, there is no interference, 4G works with all operators, however, the signal speed is different everywhere depending on the coverage area and LTE band. It connects to GPS satellites in a matter of seconds. Also, the phone can work with the Russian GLONASS system and the Chinese BDS, however, in practice, not a single Chinese satellite was found. The Micro-USB connector supports the connection of external devices according to the USB Host and USB OTG standards, so you can connect flash drives and mice with keyboards to the Micro-USB port.

Battery

A capacity of 3010 mAh is enough for a day of moderate use. Although the phone was not positioned as a "long-liver", however, by modern standards, this is a very weak indicator for an android.
